A bit of history!  \nThe bridge was built before the end of the 13th century.  \nIt once formed an important communication link on the Golden Salt Road, which crossed the Otava River right in P\u00edsek.  \nThe 110-meter-long and 6-meter-wide bridge consists of seven arches.  \nNotable is the bridge's sculptural decoration, made up of several Baroque statues, or rather their replicas \u2013 the sandstone originals can be seen in the Pr\u00e1che\u0148 Museum.  \nDuring its existence, the bridge has withstood several floods, such as in 1432 and 1768.  \nPerhaps the toughest test for it was the so-called millennium flood in 2002, when the Otava River level rose so high that it tore off the stone railing.  \nHowever, the bridge withstood the fifty times higher water flow.  \nAnd so, the bridge stands to this day, and you can go explore it; you\u2019ll find it just 30 minutes by car from \u010cimelice.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Next, you can head right next to the Stone Bridge to <strong>the period water power plant<\/strong>, which has been lighting up the city of P\u00edsek since 1887.  \nThis achievement is credited to the famous technical innovator Franti\u0161ek K\u0159i\u017e\u00edk.  \nToday, the power plant mainly serves as a museum but also as a small source of electricity for the P\u00edsek region.  \nSo, visit this unique place where the history of Czech electrification began.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>For your third stop, we offer you <strong>the Pr\u00e1che\u0148 Museum in P\u00edsek. <\/strong>The museum organizes a number of historical and artistic exhibitions, and in the field, it mainly hosts ornithological events \u2013 Birdsong Welcome, Bird Festival, and the popular summer bird ringing at the \u0158e\u017eabinec pond near Ra\u017eice.  \nHowever, if you visit the museum itself, you can see various exhibitions such as the Origins of P\u00edsek Castle and City, Mineral Wealth, Gold in the Pootav\u00ed Region, Fish and Fisheries, Prehistory and Slavic Era, P\u00edsek Countryside in the 19th Century, or the Gallery of Czech Monarchs.  \nIt\u2019s up to you what you choose to explore.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prvn\u00ed Va\u0161\u00ed zast\u00e1vkou ve m\u011bst\u011b m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt Kamenn\u00fd most.
